Description
Drysdale lambswool: from the lamb’s first shearing when they are around 3 months old. Staple length averages from 8-10cm.
It’s slightly softer than the adult wool but it is still carpet wool (ie. 30 micron+ ). In these staples the undercoat is around the same length as the outer coat and it doesn’t have quite the medullation of the adult wool.
Has been used successfully in rug yarn and also as a “never wear out heel” in hand-knit socks!
This wool is sold as raw fleece and may contain small amounts of vegetable matter.
** pictures are representative only. There will be slight variance in length/colour each year.
