Join Wendy for a unique introduction to the eco-printing experience! You will have the opportunity to forage leaves and bark from the many eucalypt species here at Beersheba Farm and then learn to wrap and “cook” the bundle to create your own one-of-a-kind eco-printed silk scarf!
There are also many other plants here at Beersheba Farm worthy of experimenting with and you are welcome to bring small natural fibre items (eg. scarves, fabric or yarn in wool, alpaca, silk, linen, cotton) as well.

(Side note: The Swanpool Motor Festival will be on just down the road….. in case a loved one requires an activity for the day also !)

Workshop name: Introduction to dyeing with eucalypts
Date: Sunday 12th March 2023 9.30am – 3pm

Cost: $150
Proposed Workshop Outline:
- Welcome & Introduction to Beersheba Farm – morning tea & a cuppa!
- Foraging – a walk to collect leaves from various eucalypt species (and other foliage, if desired) to dye with. (Approx. 1hr. )
- Setting up the dye pots and laying out leaves on silk scarves (provided).
- Lunch (BYO)
- A second item into the dye pot? Examine results. Hopefully we will have time for a second scarf or you may have other natural fibre items you wish to experiment with.
- Afternoon Tea
Special Notes:
Beersheba Farm is a work place. As such, there are some inherent hazards and participants are respectfully asked to follow all instructions from Beersheba Farm staff for safety reasons.
Please have sturdy walking shoes and suitable sun protection. Moderate fitness required.
A minimum of two (2) participants will be required for the workshop to go ahead.

We understand that unforeseen things occur in our lives and sometimes changing our plans is unavoidable. We will do our best to fill your vacancy from our waiting list. If you cancel your booking before 3rd March 2023 we will refund the money you have paid (less a $50 administration fee). Please contact us if you have any concerns regarding cancellations and refunds.
We reserve the right to cancel the workshop. Should we need to do so you will be entitled to a full refund of your payments. However, we are not able to refund the cost of your accommodation or transport so please take adequate travel insurance if you would like to be feel more secure and covered.
